The project initiated from the instinctive desire to re-examine the concept of “ The old style Emporium”, and to continue this trend started in 2003 with the Ristorante Sicomoro which would combine the restaurant activity with the distinctive architectural and design features, continued over the years with the Opificio di Rivoli and La Rotonda of the Turin Exposition.
The area, designed by BSA, BottegaStudioArchetetti, is divided into three parts: two interconnected rooms for display, and a sort of rear space for the display of spices where the products are prepared.

The architectual project is developed in line with the proposed menu, and, therefore, is an interpretation in modern terms of the traditional restaurant, without excluding its reassuring flavours . A great deal of importance was given to the counter, which includes the bar area and that for the preparation of the food, with the less aesthetic work in the background.
The counter also functions to exhibit the cooking ingredients, as well as a counter on which to eat, and an entry towards the waiters in the main room.

Valchromat and raw steel dominat the walls, while the burnt shade of the floors contrast with the warm shade of the copper: Il Padellino welcomes pizza lovers with a spectacular view of the hi-tech kitchen standing behind a glass wall.
The bar counter is set in a copper cage, direcltly behind, in a second cage stands the majestic oven and work bench for the pizza chef.
